Sites System Administrator (Algeria & Tunisia)

About the role

Salvo Grima Group, a group of companies active in international distribution, wholesale, ship supply and retail in Europe and Africa, is looking for a full-time Sites System Administrator to join its Technology team in Algiers, Algeria. Based at Houari Boumediene International Airport, the role reports to the Infrastructure Team Lead and focuses on analysing and documenting business processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology, mainly within the current ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, cloud services, networks, endpoint devices and business applications
• Provide frontline IT support for Horizon Travel Retail Networks and users, resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Manage Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, permissions and collaboration tools
• Support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs and internet connectivity
• Monitor system performance, security and availability, and manage backup and recovery processes
• Support endpoint management, patching, software deployment and compliance
• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventories and technical procedures
• Coordinate with Group IT teams, vendors and service providers, and report regularly to managers and stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field
• 2-5 years' experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Operations or a similar technical role
• Experience supporting users, servers, networks and business applications in a corporate environment
• Able to work in multicultural environments and across remote teams

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, networking, virtualization and cloud technologies
• Understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint protection and identity management
• Networking technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, wireless networks and VPNs
• Industry certifications (Microsoft, HP Enterprise, Sophos, Cisco, etc.) are an asset
