Supplier Specialist

About the role

The Supplier Specialist will act as the primary liaison for a portfolio of local suppliers supporting a centre, basin or country operation. You will drive performance improvements, manage contracts and ensure alignment with sourcing and product line teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement performance objectives with assigned suppliers, focusing on cost, lead‑time and quality improvements and track progress via a supplier scorecard.
• Prepare and lead regular management reviews, presenting scorecards, strategic positioning, three‑year business outlooks and market developments.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Procurement & Sourcing (P&S) Center, Product Line and local teams to explain contracts and accelerate ramp‑up phases.
• Consolidate internal demand, arbitrate priorities and oversee new contract implementation.
• Monitor contract utilization, initiate corrective actions and lead negotiations in line with company interests.
• Conduct total cost of integration analyses, develop Supplier Development Plans and lead risk assessments.
• Resolve supplier queries and conflicts, communicate strategy to Category, Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams, and report deviations.
• Onboard suppliers to the Supply Chain Portal, Global Traceability and other business systems, and support internal and supplier audits.
• Lead incident investigations, implement remedial work plans and continuously reduce waste.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in supplier management, procurement or related supply‑chain functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to track performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, negotiate contracts and lead risk assessments.
