Supply Chain Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support procurement, logistics and common services for its projects in Algeria. Working under the Resources Management Officer and the Supply Chain Officer, the incumbent will handle routine administrative functions across the supply chain process.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, consolidate and verify procurement requisition forms against the Purchase Authorization Matrix.
• Assist supervisors with complex, high‑value purchases.
• Prepare tender documents, solicit bids, compile bid analysis summaries and support evaluation processes.
• Confirm supplier terms, draft purchase orders or contracts and obtain required authorizations.
• Monitor open requisitions and purchase orders, follow up on delivery timelines, and coordinate receipt documentation.
• Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests and liaise with Finance for timely payments.
• Create and maintain both physical and electronic procurement records.

Required profile

• Ability to verify procurement requisitions and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Experience preparing tender documents and conducting bid analysis.
• Capability to coordinate with suppliers, internal units and Finance for contract and payment processes.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking orders and maintaining records.
