Supply Chain Officer – Expedited Recruitment

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer for an expedited recruitment in Algiers. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Resources Management Officer, the incumbent will work closely with the MENA Regional Office and the Headquarters Supply Chain Division to ensure the delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities in line with IOM’s SCM objectives, ensuring optimal price, quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics operations with the Regional Office for MENA and the HQ Supply Chain Division.
• Train, supervise and mentor a team of co‑workers, overseeing vendor and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with IOM/UN internal procurement and financial rules.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a university degree with four years of experience.
• Proven experience in managing diverse procurement and logistics operations and supervising teams.
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written); knowledge of an additional UN language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IOM/UN procurement and financial regulations.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Oracle (advantage).
