Technologist – Laboratory II

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Laboratory Technologist II to develop and improve chemical products and engineering processes for the global energy industry. The role involves creative problem‑solving, research, and technical guidance under the direction of senior technical leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and experimentation to develop new chemical products and processes.
• Design, build, and operate modeling apparatus and data‑acquisition systems for specialized tests and simulations.
• Apply fluid‑mechanics and rheology theory to characterize fluids, model flow, and assess solids transport.
• Utilize geomechanics technologies for mini‑frac analysis, formation sanding potential, wellbore stability, pore‑pressure prediction, stress analysis and mechanical property determination.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and support internal customers with engineering solutions.
• Participate in project planning, execution and technology transfer activities.
• Contribute innovations such as inventions, patents, or new design techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or 9 years of directly related experience).
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and guide junior staff.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environment regulations and quality standards.
