Cloud & Platform Engineer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing SaaS platform on Azure looking for a Cloud & Platform Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure end‑to‑end. You will start by making our Azure estate leaner, faster and more cost‑effective, then expand into broader technical operations as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Azure estate, including all supporting services.
• Build cost visibility and attribution from scratch and drive measurable savings.
• Automate repetitive tasks to ensure a smooth, predictable platform.
• Improve reliability, deployment pipelines, and security as the company grows.
• Make and own infrastructure decisions, expanding the remit to other technical operations.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Azure and comfort working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
• Ability to read a cloud billing breakdown and instantly spot optimisation opportunities.
• Automation‑first mindset; never repeat manual work.
• Thrives in an environment with real ownership and evolving scope.
• Proactive, takes initiative and ships without needing constant follow‑up.
