Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

The Commercial Operations Manager will lead contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance throughout the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase. This role ensures rigorous deal making, aligns with Grid Solutions risk policies, and drives operational excellence across commercial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redline, and negotiate customer terms, conditions, NDAs, consortium agreements, and other contractual documents.
• Identify, register, and manage commercial risks using the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce tools.
• Lead contractual scheme development and coordinate with Tax, Legal, Finance, Controllers, Operations, and EHS stakeholders.
• Own the Commercial Operations (ComOps) risk process, ensuring consistent ITO governance, metrics, and policy adherence.
• Support regional sales teams in proposal strategy, KPI application, and risk/opportunity mitigation.
• Drive change‑management initiatives to reduce cycle times, costs, and improve service quality.
• Provide post‑mortem analysis of proposals and incorporate customer feedback into continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial operations, contract management, sales, risk mitigation, tendering, or project management.
• Strong contractual and negotiation capabilities.
• Fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
