Environmental Lead Engineer – Technical Lead

About the role

The company seeks an Environmental Lead Engineer to direct technical execution of environmental monitoring programs on large‑scale industrial construction sites within the oil and gas sector. The role ensures that all environmental aspects are measured, reported and managed in compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of baseline monitoring for ambient air quality, including VOCs, PM2.5/PM10, SOx and NOx, as well as noise and soil quality assessments.
• Supervise hazardous waste storage, maintain accurate manifest documentation, and coordinate licensed disposal with contractors.
• Audit chemical storage bunds, fuel transfer stations, spill‑kit readiness, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) measures.
• Compile, analyse and review monthly and quarterly ESG, GHG and overall environmental performance metrics.
• Ensure continuous compliance with environmental regulations and effective execution of site environmental management programs.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Environmental Science (minimum qualification).
• Proven experience leading technical environmental monitoring initiatives on industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for air, noise, soil, hazardous waste and stormwater management.
