Site EHS Specialist (Algeria)

About the role

GE Vernova, through its FieldCore division, is seeking an Algerian national to join its Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team as a Site EHS Specialist. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with EHS policies, legislative standards, and company procedures across field operations in Algeria.

Key responsibilities

• Manage field personnel to guarantee adherence to EHS policies, programs, and local legislation.
• Develop, communicate, and support site‑based EHS programs and the OneEHS project plan.
• Conduct onsite EHS audits, inspections, and provide improvement recommendations.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and near‑miss reviews.
• Maintain emergency response capabilities and ensure all staff are trained on safe work procedures.
• Deliver site orientation training and familiarize personnel with site‑specific EHS requirements and hazards.

Required profile

• Algerian nationality.
• Proven experience in field EHS compliance and audit activities.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations and applicable Algerian legislation.
• Ability to conduct incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to train and inform site personnel.
