About the role

The company is seeking a Metrology and Calibration Engineer to manage the fleet of measurement and control instruments used in pharmaceutical production. The role ensures compliance with GMP, ISO and pharmacopoeia regulations while supporting continuous improvement of calibration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and ensure regulatory compliance of all measurement instruments (balances, HPLC, temperature probes, pressure, humidity, etc.).
• Develop and keep up‑to‑date documentation such as maintenance plans, SOPs and project plans.
• Manage engineering inventory and spare parts.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise internal and external calibration activities, including schedule monitoring.
• Draft, review and approve calibration procedures, protocols, reports and certificates.
• Identify instrument drifts, assess impact on products/processes and participate in investigations (deviations, OOS, OOT).
• Propose and follow CAPA actions, support internal and external audits, and optimise calibration frequencies using a risk‑based approach.
• Establish metrology KPIs and report performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree (Bac +5) in Biology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑5 years of experience in pharmaceutical metrology.
• Strong analytical and synthesis abilities, teamwork orientation.
• Fluent French (spoken and written); English knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• Metrology principles (uncertainty, calibration, traceability).
• GMP and ISO standards, especially ISO 17025.
• Hands‑on experience with balances, HPLC, temperature probes, pressure and humidity sensors.
• Proficiency in Excel and CMMS/software management tools.
