International Account Executive – Events, Sponsorship & Advertising Sales

About the role

We are seeking an International Account Executive to drive sponsorship and advertising sales for events across Sub‑Saharan Africa. The role is home‑based with up to 60 % travel to project locations and involves managing client relationships, generating new business and ensuring successful event delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow existing client accounts to secure repeat business.
• Identify new sales opportunities, present our service portfolio and convert leads into contracts.
• Research, update and manage internal contact databases.
• Oversee invoicing, payment tracking and collection.
• Report to the Business Development Director and coordinate with operations to plan and execute events that exceed expectations and deliver ROI.
• Measure daily activities and sales efficacy using internal reporting tools and third‑party platforms.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably in events, media or related B2B sectors.
• Full professional proficiency in English; additional language (French, Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Experience with construction, mining, energy or oil & gas sectors is advantageous.
