Product Manager – Healthcare Underwriting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead our Healthcare Underwriting platform. The role focuses on translating business needs into actionable user stories, ensuring alignment with product vision, and delivering high‑quality solutions for health payer clients.

Key responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria using JIRA.
• Maintain well‑documented, traceable requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support development teams by clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguities, and preparing stories for sprint execution.
• Write and execute SQL queries (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and work with MongoDB document stores.
• Validate micro‑service APIs using Postman and SoapUI, and define service payloads and field mappings.
• Handle production issues and provide ongoing support to business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Product Manager.
• Strong domain expertise in healthcare payer underwriting.
• Proven ability to work with SQL databases and document databases.
• Experience with micro‑services architecture and API testing tools.
• Hands‑on experience managing production incidents and supporting business teams.

Required skills

• JIRA for backlog and story management.
• SQL proficiency with PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• MongoDB document database knowledge.
• API testing using Postman and SoapUI.
• Understanding of micro‑services and service payload design.
