Research & Development Manager – Cosmetics

About the role

Les Laboratoires Allal, a cosmetics manufacturing laboratory in Algiers, is looking for a Research & Development Manager to lead the creation of innovative beauty and personal hygiene products. This full‑time position will oversee the entire R&D pipeline, from concept to market launch.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all research and development activities for new and existing cosmetic products.
• Plan, schedule, and manage complex product development projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Lead formulation work for sprays, sticks, gels, roll‑ons, shampoos, shower gels, creams, and related personal hygiene items.
• Collaborate with quality, regulatory, and production teams to guarantee compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor market trends and integrate scientific methodologies to drive product innovation.

Required profile

• Master’s or higher degree (M1, Licence, Bac +4) in chemistry, biology, process engineering, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of proven experience in cosmetic product development or similar R&D roles.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic industry regulations and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams.
