Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Rotating Equipment Engineer to act as a Mechanical Evaluator for a leading oil & gas company operating in the Middle East. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of critical rotating machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent technical evaluations and reviews of pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers and gearboxes.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on rotating equipment.
• Drive reliability improvement projects using RCM and CBM methodologies.
• Assess competency, provide training and mentor engineering staff.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, and manage stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience with oil & gas rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of API 610, API 617 and API 618 standards.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality technical assessments.
