Site Reliability / Production Engineer

About the role

Storyteller is seeking two hands‑on Site Reliability / Production Engineers to provide out‑of‑hours coverage for its high‑growth B2B SaaS platform. You will be the first technical responder for live incidents, working remotely from anywhere in Algeria.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to live incidents during the 17:00‑01:00 UK time window.
• Assess customer impact, investigate root causes, and take safe, proportionate actions such as restarting services, scaling resources, rolling back deployments, or applying small code fixes.
• Coordinate with Support and involve product developers only when specialised knowledge is required.
• When incidents are quiet, improve reliability by reducing alert noise, strengthening outcome‑focused monitoring, enhancing diagnostics, and creating runbooks and AI‑driven automation.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with ownership of live‑system issues.
• Comfortable working on‑call and handling evening/overnight shifts.
• Strong judgement when supervising AI‑generated recommendations.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Experience with AI tools for incident analysis.
• Familiarity with Web, iOS and Android SDKs.
• Solid understanding of incident response and SRE best practices.
