Specialty Cook – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Specialty Cook to join our hotel kitchen in Oran. The successful candidate will prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our recipes, quality standards and presentation guidelines, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, store and thaw foods as required.
• Measure, weigh and mix ingredients following recipes or personal judgment.
• Cook dishes to recipe specifications, monitor quality, and adjust seasoning or cooking time as needed.
• Plate food with correct portions, garnish and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including tools, equipment and kitchen surfaces.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, reporting any deviations.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, and report incidents or maintenance needs.
• Assist teammates during busy periods and communicate clearly with staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 10 lb for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and clear, courteous communication.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Safe handling of kitchen equipment and tools.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and temperature control.
