Engagement Manager – Donor & Volunteer Engagement

About the role

The Engagement Manager will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Impetus’s volunteering and pro‑bono programmes. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, you will work across the Philanthropy, Investment, Public Affairs and wider teams to ensure a seamless, high‑quality experience for donors, corporate supporters and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Account‑manage relationships with mid‑level supporters, corporate partners and grant‑making trusts for volunteering and pro‑bono initiatives.
• Design, implement and monitor high‑impact volunteering opportunities that meet KPI targets.
• Develop new engagement opportunities aligned with funder interests and organisational needs.
• Guide pro‑bono supporters through project matching, onboarding, stewardship and ongoing support.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent donor experience and effective cross‑functional delivery.

Required profile

• Experienced professional with a proven track record in donor, volunteer or pro‑bono engagement.
• Strong relationship‑building and account management capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and external partners.
• Passion for philanthropy and improving outcomes for disadvantaged young people.
