Value Stream Intern

About the role

FieldCore, part of GE Vernova's Gas Power One Field Services team, is looking for an energetic, committed intern to partner with cross-functional teams and build and execute projects, programs and solutions. The intern provides full-service support for building business and market cases for novel solutions, learns the daily routines and procedures of FieldCore, meets managers and executives, and may be assigned other duties aligned with the company's vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specific tasks related to the department vacancy and related duties as required
• Work closely with the Intern leader and team members to provide value to the assigned role
• Provide recommendations on department-specific projects and assist with implementing new initiatives
• Create and maintain PowerPoint presentations and prepare and present reports as needed
• Execute on project goals and assist the Intern leader with planning and organizing tasks
• Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks
• Achieve the learning and performance goals agreed for the internship
• Follow FieldCore work hours, policies and procedures, complete assigned trainings, maintain confidentiality and comply with the Intern Leader's direction

Required profile

• High school degree or equivalent, enrolled in an accredited university or college program; a Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred
• Preferred GPA of 2.8 or higher
• Fluent English; English proficiency required for staff-only positions
• Willingness to travel, work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Solid problem-solving skills, self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
