EHS Site Supervisor

About the role

The EHS Site Supervisor will oversee environmental, health and safety activities on the construction site in Djelfa, ensuring compliance with company programs, project requirements and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct EHS orientations for workers and visitors under the GEV scope before work begins.
• Deliver weekly EHS communications (tool‑box talks) for the entire GEV scope and maintain records.
• Perform regular safety inspections of construction activities and subcontractors to verify compliance with GE EHS, Project EHS programs and applicable regulations, and edit inspection reports.
• Lead weekly EHS meetings for the GEV team, including subcontractor management.
• Assist the EHS manager in preparing Job Safety Analyses and Risk Assessments, reviewing and approving all JSA/RA for works within the GEV scope.
• Maintain a safe work environment through frequent site turn‑arounds.
• Notify management of unsafe acts or conditions, track corrective actions in the system, and ensure closure and appropriate disciplinary measures.
• Report, investigate and analyse accidents, determine root causes, and propose corrective/preventive actions, recording cases in the tracking system.
• Ensure proper GEV waste management, including storage, transportation by approved vendors, disposal at designated centers, and record‑keeping.
• Liaise with partners, contractors, insurance representatives, local medical services, fire and police departments, regulatory agencies, and clients on EHS matters.
