Temporary Works Supervisor – Scaffolding

About the role

The company is looking for a Temporary Works Supervisor to lead scaffolding crews on an industrial site in Djelfa. You will ensure that all scaffolding work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and permit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily scaffolding operations, ensuring work follows the Temporary Works Design and approved method statements.
• Conduct documented inspections of scaffolding before use, after modifications, and at regular intervals.
• Manage the permit‑to‑work system for all high‑risk scaffolding activities.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to place scaffolding strategically while maintaining site access.
• Verify material quality, enforce tag‑out/tag‑in procedures, and ensure all components are defect‑free.
• Provide safety leadership on working at height, drop‑object prevention, and load‑bearing requirements for heavy equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Relevant scaffolding supervisor certification (e.g., CISRS Advanced Scaffolder/Supervisor, OSHA Competent Person for Scaffolding, or local equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret complex scaffolding drawings and structural calculations.
• Expert knowledge of fall protection systems, tie‑off points, and load‑bearing capacities in an industrial plant.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage multiple contractor crews.
• First aid and/or specialized rescue training is preferred.
