About the role
Ericsson is seeking a Billing Support Engineer to provide high‑quality support for a key customer in Algeria and Tunisia. The role ensures service availability, performance, and timely resolution of complex incidents across the CBIO/Billing stack.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational support for Ericsson CBIO/Billing solutions in live environments.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, problems and service requests within agreed SLAs.
- Perform log analysis and troubleshooting across charging, billing, mediation, rating, invoicing, payments, collections and reporting functions.
- Execute configuration changes, work‑arounds and corrective actions following change‑management procedures.
- Support business configuration activities such as price plans, promotions, bill cycles, discounts and customer hierarchies.
- Conduct health checks, monitoring and performance analysis to improve service stability.
- Participate in software upgrades, patches, hot‑fix implementations and post‑deployment validation.
- Take part in major incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and knowledge‑base documentation.
- Collaborate with Global Support, Product Development and Market Area teams to resolve escalations.
- Join on‑call and standby rotations and ensure compliance with security, quality and service‑delivery standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom BSS, charging, billing or convergent billing platforms.
- Experience in customer‑facing support or operations environments is preferred.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of CBIO or similar billing and charging platforms.
- Expertise in mediation, rating, invoicing, payments, collections and reporting.
- Proficiency in log analysis, configuration management and change‑management procedures.
- Experience with software upgrades, patches, hot‑fixes and post‑deployment validation.
- Ability to conduct health checks, performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Root‑cause analysis, incident investigation and knowledge‑base documentation.
- Familiarity with security, quality standards and automation best practices.
