HR Business Partner – Specialized Nutrition, Algiers

About the role

Danone MENA is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic HR Business Partner for its Specialized Nutrition business in Algiers, Algeria. The role provides professional HR support to build a people-oriented, performance-driven and learning organization, working closely with the local business and management team and the regional HR team.

Key responsibilities

• Support and implement local HR strategy, plans and budgets, and help design organizational structures and responsibilities
• Secure talent inflow, manage talent and succession planning, and act as a transformation liaison with local management
• Recruit and select new hires with the central HR talent team, run interviews and evaluations, and finalise offers
• Facilitate employee exits, including exit interviews and a data bank
• Manage performance appraisals, bonuses, salary reviews and recognition of achievements
• Develop employee development initiatives and plan for continuity in positions
• Review benefits annually (medical and life insurance), manage the bonus process, set up job profiles and job grading, and lead the annual salary review for Algeria
• Maintain accurate employee data, communicate HR policies and changes locally, and stay up to date with labour law
• Advise the local management team, drive BU and divisional HR initiatives (including CSR), and take part in corporate and divisional HR projects

Required profile

• University degree in HR, labour law, business administration and/or business psychology
• At least 4 years of relevant HR experience in multinational organisations
• Fluent English, French and Arabic
• Preferred: affinity with FMCG/Food/Pharma environments and knowledge of Algerian labour law
• Openness to mobility within or outside the region after 3-4 years
