Mechanical Technician I – Hydraulic Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician I to join Hydratight’s workshop team. The role focuses on repairing, inspecting, testing and maintaining hydraulic equipment and related tools, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, replace parts and reassemble hydraulic equipment.
• Perform operational testing, calibration and accuracy certification of tools and equipment.
• Prepare equipment request orders and manage job preparation.
• Document all repair, calibration and testing activities accurately.
• Use gauging and measuring devices to conduct quality inspections.
• Build and maintain standard workshop tools as required.
• Pick, pack and organise equipment, tools and materials.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Operate forklift trucks and VNA equipment safely when certified.
• Carry out additional workshop duties as needed.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and follow technical work procedures and instructions.
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment, components and workshop practices.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective documentation and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
