About the role
The British Council is seeking a passionate Part‑Time English Teacher to deliver high‑quality lessons to a diverse learner base. You will work 16 hours per week, supporting the organisation’s global English strategy and contributing to its cultural‑relations mission.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English language lessons that align with British Council Global Teaching Standards.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and encourage learner autonomy.
- Participate in staff meetings, course development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support centre activities such as local marketing, promotional events and customer communication.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with ELT best practices.
Required profile
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching English to learners of varied ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles.
- Commitment to high standards of professionalism and learner success.
