Reservation Agent

About the role

Le Meridien in Oran is looking for a Reservation Agent. The role handles all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail, and works closely with guests to match their needs with the right room type and rate.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail.
• Identify guest needs and determine the appropriate room type, then verify availability and rate.
• Explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies to callers and accommodate and document special requests.
• Answer questions about property facilities, services and room accommodations.
• Use sales techniques to maximise revenue and follow proper escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Input and access data in the reservation system, including special room types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates and wholesale reservations.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, assist people with disabilities and respect guest and coworker privacy.
• Follow company policies, keep proprietary information confidential and comply with quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience required.
• Ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
