ROS2 Robotics Engineer – Autonomous Navigation

About the role

VI Solutions is developing autonomous mobile robots for warehouse and logistics operations. We are looking for a ROS2 Robotics Engineer to join the founding team and own the autonomy stack that runs on our deployed machines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement autonomous navigation on physical robots using Nav2, SLAM and sensor fusion in rapidly changing environments.
• Develop robust perception and tracking pipelines that handle variable lighting, floor conditions and unpredictable human movement.
• Design recovery and failure‑handling behaviours for sensor degradation, loss of tracking, and unexpected obstacles.
• Scale from a single robot to a coordinated fleet, handling multi‑robot coordination challenges.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with ROS2, Nav2 and SLAM on real hardware.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Ability to own a subsystem end‑to‑end within a small, fast‑moving team.
• Experience working with physical robots in industrial or warehouse settings.
