Senior Quality Specialist / QA‑QC Engineer

About the role

SLB is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Specialist / QA‑QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control across its oil & gas operations in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. The role ensures compliance with company, client, international and Algerian regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across projects.
• Review project specifications, quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and related documentation.
• Perform or coordinate inspections of mechanical, piping and pressure equipment, as well as welding, NDT and testing activities.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct internal, external, supplier and vendor quality audits.
• Support supplier qualification and monitor supplier/contractor quality performance.
• Coordinate quality activities throughout manufacturing, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over phases.
• Prepare and review quality records, inspection reports, certification packages and final dossiers.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas, EPC, oilfield services or industrial projects.
• Proven background in Quality Assurance/Control, preferably within Algeria’s oil & gas sector.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English and French; Arabic is a plus.
