Supply Chain Head – Pharmaceutical Industry

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Head to lead end‑to‑end supply chain activities for our pharmaceutical operations in Algeria. The role will drive the S&OP process, ensure alignment across commercial, finance, production and quality functions, and optimise cost and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete supply chain cycle and lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Act as the central liaison between Commercial, Finance, Production, Planning, Regulatory, Sales, Quality and other internal departments.
• Coordinate with regional teams to align processes and strategies.
• Oversee distribution centre, invoicing, and inventory planning to meet business targets and minimise shortages.
• Analyse current processes, propose improvements and establish performance metrics.
• Handle importation, customs clearance, freight forwarding and vendor management.
• Source, purchase and import active pharmaceutical ingredients and packaging materials.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to meet material requirements for stability studies and product registration.
• Continuously seek efficiency gains while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M2) or equivalent engineering qualification (Bac +5).
• 6‑10 years or more of experience in supply chain, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
