About the role
The Reservation Agent will handle all incoming reservation requests for Le Méridien Oran Hotel & Convention Centre. You will work directly with guests via phone, fax or email to secure bookings, manage changes, and process cancellations while delivering a high level of service.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
- Identify guest needs, recommend appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
- Document special requests and accommodate guest preferences.
- Enter accurate data into the hotel reservation system, including complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates, and wholesale bookings.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and adhere to escalation procedures for guest concerns.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information, and comply with company policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills in French and English.
- Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to handle multiple requests efficiently.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
