Fiber Network Planner - Damascus Based

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Network Planner to design, validate, and document fiber routes for our projects in Damascus. The role ensures that network topology, capacity, splicing, and ODF connectivity meet service requirements and downstream transport planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive fiber network plans covering backbone, metro, access, and inter‑site connectivity.
• Analyze existing fiber inventory, GIS records, duct data, ODF records, splice diagrams, and field surveys to identify gaps.
• Prepare route plans, fiber allocation, cable utilization, ODF/patching requirements, and diversity assessments.
• Coordinate with civil works, field survey, implementation, operations, and vendor teams to validate feasibility and access.
• Support DWDM, IP/MPLS, enterprise, wholesale, and critical service requirements.
• Define naming conventions, route identifiers, core assignments, splice references, and documentation standards.
• Reconcile planned records with physical inventory, as‑built documentation, and circuit data.
• Identify and mitigate fiber risks such as single points of failure or capacity shortfalls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in fiber network planning, OSP/ISP design, or telecom rollout.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work under delivery pressure.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
