Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will oversee the planning, execution and control of all logistics activities within the organization. This role ensures that equipment, materials and personnel are moved efficiently, safely and cost‑effectively. The officer works closely with drivers, operators and internal teams to maintain smooth operations. The role also includes record‑keeping, inventory control and coordination of equipment disbursements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain logistics schedules for deliveries and pick‑ups.
• Implement cost‑effective logistics solutions while adhering to company policies.
• Provide road guidance and support to drivers and equipment operators.
• Plan internal and external routes for vehicles, machinery and staff.
• Monitor and record vehicle servicing, fuel consumption and allocation.
• Ensure all vehicles and plant are regularly maintained and operated by trained, legally compliant personnel.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee material movement.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics or transport operations.
• Strong understanding of logistics policies, safety regulations and cost‑control principles.
• Ability to plan routes and schedules efficiently.
• Attention to detail in record‑keeping and vehicle maintenance.
