Steward - Hotel Housekeeping Support

About the role

Le Méridien in Oran, Algeria, is hiring a Steward (Utility Cleaner) to support hotel functions such as the kitchen, food and beverage and laundry. The role is full-time and involves keeping the hotel clean and ready for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools such as dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens across the hotel.
• Follow company policies and procedures, uphold quality standards and keep a safe workplace.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication, and build positive working relationships with colleagues and departments.
• Support the team to reach common goals and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Move, lift, carry, push and pull objects of up to 50 pounds, stand, sit or walk for long periods, and reach overhead and below the knees.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
