Telecom Back Office Engineer – IP Core (DC & IP Fabric)

About the role

The Telecom Back Office Engineer – IP Core is responsible for the technical support, monitoring, operation, and optimisation of the IP Core infrastructure within a data‑center environment. You will ensure high availability, performance and reliability of core network elements that connect main routers, DC Gateways, spine‑leaf fabrics, CBIS and inter‑data‑center links.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise IP Core routers, switches, DCGW, spine‑leaf fabric and inter‑DC links.
• Perform configuration, commissioning, software/firmware upgrades and validation of IP Core devices.
• Analyse and troubleshoot incidents, provide 2nd/3rd level support and coordinate escalations.
• Continuously monitor performance metrics (latency, packet loss, bandwidth) and implement optimisation actions.
• Support capacity planning, scaling and documentation of topology, configurations and inventory.
• Collaborate with NOC, transmission, data‑center and service teams on expansion, migration and modernisation projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in telecom or data‑center network engineering.
• Strong understanding of IP Core architecture, routing, forwarding and redundancy mechanisms.
• Ability to work onsite in Alger and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
